Top Battery saving 3 Tips-free

Smartphone battery draining is the worst issue these days. So, I am going to talk about battery saving tips. Most of the tips are going to help you get your battery last longer on devices like smartphone and tablets. I want to tell you that there is no magical cure or magical thing you can do to your device. Typically there is nothing crazy to do with your device but there are things you should keep an eye on for the sake of your mobo battery.

1. 4G/3G Data Network

4g Data Network - Smartphone Battery Saving TipsI noticed most of the people use Mobile Data such as 4G or 3G while keeping Wi-Fi at home.
For the most part this is general rule. 4G radio use most amount of power and 3G radios use a little bit less as compare to 4G, If you have Wi-fi at home then you must switch your 4G/3G to wi-fi network. It will save you a lot of battery. Turn off your wi-fi when you are going to bed. Turn off all of the other connectivity options such as GPRS. Bluetooth and NFC. Turn on these connectivities only when you required to use any of these. Turn off when you done using.

2. CPU Performance

CPU Performance mode - Smartphone Battery Saving TipsIn smartphones, CPU is like a micro chip located on the board of your mobile. It is like behind the scene killer of your mobo battery. Your display screen is off but your CPU is doing things and in that way your Android Smartphone drain a lot of battery. You need to tweak your CPU to save some battery. You can control your CPU performance from the modes settings of your Android Device. Some devices like Asus Transformer Infinity :- http://geekhide.com/go/asus-transformer-infinity/ have performance mode. Such as
  • High performance Mode
  • Balanced Mode
  • Battery Saving Mode
In high performance mod, CPU goes all the way up to highest 1.7 Ghz. Balanced mode will go up to 1.4 GHz. The last one battery saver mode will tend to limited like 1 GHz. So how your CPU is working? More cycles it is going, more battery is going to use. The general rule of thumb the CPU is basically try to keep it as low as possible to save your battery life.

3. Display and Brighness

You can use an application to look at how much battery each individual application is using on your device. The number one battery killer on tablets and smartphones even on Wi-Fi only Laptops, Chrome books, mobile devices is the display. Keeping huge panel backlit for that long and letting use it and being responsive and constantly changing and shifting pixels, text, colour and everything takes the most battery out of anything .So your screen is what, killing your battery. I can almost guarantee that.
Android Application to Check Battery usage By Individual App
So here is one of my favourite app for that, it is called Battery Widget Reborn. It gives the shortcut to android battery usage and this will tell how much battery we are using on our device. So it is quite great to have a look on the battery usage by each individual app.  If you click on the screen, you will find that the most of the battery is used by your mobile display screen. So for your display to use less battery, you can do number of things
  1. Number one thing you can do is display brightness.  A lot of phones have automatic brightness and that tends to be little bit aggressive and keeps the display brightness below where you tend to think  it should be. You can do manual display brightness. When you are going outside, you can turn on manual brightness and as you come back indoor you can turn down display brightness because you do not need that indoor.
  2. Second thing is screen time out. Screen might time out may be 30 sec or minute after one do nothing and it just turned to display off. It can be turn down to 10-15 seconds to save battery. It is pretty easy to setup screen time out on every device. If you are using OLED display like Samsung Galaxy S3:- http://geekhide.com/go/galaxy-s3/ does, you can use black wallpapers and themes to save your battery. All the pixels that are in black not lid up in OLED Display.
